At the Zinnia and Monarch Festival in August of 2023, Senator Edley-Allen surprised the committee with a proclamation from the floor of the Senate establishing a day of recognition for the City of Zion’s Official Flower (see attached) and is working on helping to establish Zion as the Zinnia Capital by 2025.
